Holy Cross College Counseling Centre was established in the academic year 2000-2001. It operates from 9 AM to 4 PM on working days. Two professionals, a counseling psychologist and a psychotherapist, have been appointed for student welfare. Students from SHIFT I & II attend counseling sessions outside their class hours.
Objectives of Counseling
- To provide support for students with academic, behavioral, and vocational challenges.
- To help students devise plans for resolving their difficulties.
- To assist students in understanding their interests, capabilities, and aptitudes for personal growth.

Types of Problems Addressed
Students with Educational Problems:
- Career counseling for vocational choices.
- Personal counseling for issues like poor academic performance and lack of concentration.
- Guidance on friendship issues, peer pressure, decision-making, and personality development.
Students with Behavioral Problems:
- Counseling for mild behavioral concerns such as mood swings, depression, and anxiety.
- Referral of severe cases to a psychiatrist when necessary.

- Orientation sessions for students.
- Professional counseling services.
- Participation as resource persons in counseling-related programs.
- Regular peer group counseling meetings.
- Awareness programs such as "Know Yourself" for students.
