Department of Zoology — Objectives

In conformity with the vision and mission of the College, the department aims at academic excellence, personality development, leadership skills, systematic, disciplined work and empowerment of underprivileged girls.

To provide a strong foundation in the basic concepts of animal structure, function, behaviour and in expanding fields like Molecular Biology, Genetics, Environmental Biology, Microbiology, Immunology and Biotechnology.

To impart practical and analytical skills in Life Sciences for multidimensional, professional and entrepreneurial development.

To instil a scientific temper among students for research, higher studies and to have concern for fauna, flora and its conservation.
