Since its inception, HRDC has been dedicated to empowering students with the skills, confidence, and values required to succeed in an ever-changing professional world.
The Centre acts as a vital link between academia and industry, ensuring that students are equipped not only with academic knowledge but also with the practical skills and personal attributes essential for workplace success. HRDC focuses on career readiness, personality development, and continuous learning, offering a wide range of training programmes, workshops, and placement activities.
By fostering self-confidence, leadership, and ethical responsibility, HRDC continues to nurture competent, compassionate, and career-ready graduates, staying true to the vision and mission of Holy Cross College.
History of HRDC
Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) funded by the HCC Alumnae Association of the college has been functioning effectively, since its inception in 1992. As a supportive centre it brings to light the hidden talents and potential of the students. Rev. Sr. Elizabeth Rose, Principal, initiated the Human Resource Development Centre as a Student Support Centre.
It was positioned behind the college chapel with a full time Consultant and was started with the sole objective of helping students. Besides providing placement, it serves as a vocational guidance and information bureau where students can register and use the facilities to the fullest. Top Multinational Companies like Google, Wipro, Sutherland, TCS, Hewellete Packard, Hexaware, ABN-AMRO and HSBC visited the HCC Campus and recruited more than 350 students from 2002-2009.
HRDC offers a rewarding education which has helped students to scale greater heights. It strives to recognize and enhance their skills and to equip them with a multifaceted outlook to meet the challenges of the competitive world. HRDC also conducts training programs to equip the students with employability skills for better job opportunities.
It has two cells namely Campus Placement Cell and Career Guidance Cell. Workshops, webinars and training programs were organized by Career Guidance Cell which concentrates mainly on orientation for Civil Service exam, Competitive Exams, workshop on Entrepreneurial Skills, Seminars on Career Guidance, Overseas Education and Trainings on Interview Facing Skills.
Every year more than 30 sessions are organized and around 3000 students have benefitted. HRDC also organizes Services Camp through which the students and their family members are guided to apply for Pan Card, Passport, Driving Licence and Job Leads. Nearly 500 people have benefitted through such camps.

Coordinator's Message
The Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) of Holy Cross College has always been a pillar of strength and transformation for our students. Since its establishment in 1992, HRDC has consistently worked towards empowering young women to become confident, competent, and compassionate professionals ready to face the challenges of the global workforce.
In today's world of rapid technological advancement and competitive employment, education is no longer confined to academics alone. The real measure of success lies in a student's ability to combine knowledge with skills, values, and adaptability. At HRDC, we aim to bridge this gap through structured training, value-added programmes, career guidance sessions, and personality development workshops that build both confidence and character.
Our centre believes that every student possesses unique potential waiting to be discovered and nurtured. Through continuous mentoring, aptitude training, and soft skill enhancement, we help students unlock that potential, preparing them to take on professional challenges with grace and determination.
We also take pride in our strong collaborations with industries, alumnae, and experts who extend their support in guiding our students toward meaningful career paths. Our vision is not only to ensure employability but also to instill a spirit of ethical leadership, lifelong learning, and social responsibility.
As the Coordinator of HRDC, I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support of our management, faculty members, and the active participation of our students. Together, we continue to uphold the mission of Holy Cross College — to educate, empower, and elevate.
