The PG Department of Computer Applications in Holy Cross College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli -620 002, was started in the year 1998 with BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications). Growing metamorphically in a short span of time, MCA (Master of Computer Applications) was started in the year 1999 and was approved by AICTE. Catering to the requirements, PGDCA (Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications) was started in the year 2002. The vision of the Department is to inculcate a sound knowledge in Computer Science along with social and ethical responsibilities and life-oriented values to enable the students combat the current and impending technical challenges faced by the Country and extend their expertise in the Global arena. The Department aims at developing intellectually alert, scientifically progressive, globally competent, dynamic young IT Women Professionals to meet the ever-changing needs of the Society. The Department was ranked 23rd position - All India Level, 5th position -Tamil Nadu Level and 1st position in Tiruchirappalli by OUTLOOK-ICARE Ranking 2020 (The Best Professional Colleges) in various Professional Streams.
