SOCIAL WORK


History



 The Department Of Social Work was started in 2007 with two specialization namely, Family and Child Welfare and Medical and psychiatric Social work. In 2010 introduced Community Development specialization and followed by Human Resource Management Specialization in 2011.

We offer all the four specializations (M&P, F&C, CDM, HRM)

JEEVAN – A startup Initiated by the student Volunteer in 2023

YANIV- An Organic Farming Incubation Center in 2023.

The Department encourages children of the grass root level for admission

60% of the students were first generation graduates

Every year our alumni will take care of two deserving student’s education

Assured Industrial job placement for the passed out students by our alumni

Four students appeared for PhD entrance and cleared the entrance

Two students cleared NET.

Two faculty were the RCI registered Social work counsellors’ conducts counselling for the outsiders visiting us for help.

The Department holds two consultancy program with TVS motors and TN police Trichy Dt.

Students coordinates street children on Sundays and help them learn English and Moral Values through the Field Work Organization.

Illustrious alumni hold prominent positions like HOD’s, CEO, Successful Entrepreneur, Police officials in India and Working as Project Head in WHO, US and Psychiatric counsellor in London

New Book released this year (2023) Titled” New Normal Parenting Keys”

Students are working as Volunteers with Regional NGO’s which is not included and noticed in the curriculum
